RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:

The HORMIGUICIDA MANCHESTER LÍQUIDO chloripyrifos based is an organophosphate insecticide to combat ants through spray applications. It acts by contact, inhalation and ingestion.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Dilute 10 cm3 (the equivalent of 2 teaspoons of tea) in 1 liter of water. Spray (with a watering can, backpack or similar equipment) the affected areas with this mixture, applying 2 to 5 liters per anthill and wetting the surface to be treated well. Once the anthill has been identified, apply to the mouth and its surroundings, in a radius of approximately 50 cm. Also spray the roads and the ants that cross it.

For preventive treatment it is recommended to spray a 40 cm strip of soil around the area to be protected (trees, gardens, plants) and repeat the treatment every 15 days

.

TIME OF APPLICATION:

The HORMIGUICIDA MANCHESTER LÍQUIDO can be applied at any time of the year, avoiding rainy days. In times of high ant activity, the treated areas should be reviewed to avoid new infestations.

PESTS IT CONTROLS:

Leaafcutter or Common black ant (Acromyrmex lundii), Argentine ant (Iridomyrmex humilis), Chaco leafcutter ant (Atta vollenweideri), Carpenter Ant (Camponotus mus) and Red Pruner Ant (Acromyrmex striatus).

COMPATIBILITY:

It can be mixed with other solid formulations including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides or fertilizers. Do not mix with alkaline reaction products.

PHYTOTOXICITY:

It is not phytotoxic, it is applied following the recommendations of this label.

USE RESTRICTIONS:

Does not present. In the event that the crop and its by-products are destined for export, the maximum residue limit of the destination country must be known and the withdrawal period corresponding to that tolerance value must be observed.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES:

For your safety during preparation and application: Wear suitable protective clothing, impervious gloves, face protection and rubber boots. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product. Avoid contact with the spray. Do not uncover spikes or nozzles with your mouth.

After treatment change and wash clothes immediately. Wash properly with plenty of soap and water. Do not enter treated area without protective clothing until spray deposits have dried.

ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS:

Virtually non-toxic to bees. Spray during the morning or night, outside the hours of foraging of the bees. Moderately toxic to birds. It should not be applied in areas where birds are found feeding or breeding. Do not carry out aerial application on or in the areas near roosts, forests, protected parks and wildlife reserves. Highly toxic to fish. Do not spray on natural water courses. Do not remove remaining broths or rinse / wash application equipment on the shores of lakes and rivers. You must establish a buffer zone between the treated crop and the water source.

TREATMENT OF REMNANTS AND APPLICATION BROTHS:

Prepare the amount of product to be used, avoiding remnants. The remaining broth cannot be reused at another time. It must be disposed of safely, without contaminating nearby waters. The remaining product in the sprayer tank can be diluted by adding clean water in an amount equal to five times the volume of existing broth. This new preparation can be reapplied on fallow land, roads and areas that are not cultivated or grazed, away from populated centers and areas of frequent traffic of people.

TREATMENT AND DESTRUCTION METHOD OF EMPTY CONTAINERS:

Empty containers cannot be reused. Respect the following instructions for the IRAM 12.069 Standard Triple Wash: Add water to cover a quarter of the container's capacity, close and shake for 30 seconds. Then pour the water from the container into the dosing container (consider this volume of water within the recommended volume of the mixture). Make this procedure 3 times. Finally, make the container useless by piercing it and trying not to damage the label when carrying out this operation. Perforated containers must be placed in containers to be sent to a specialized plant for final destruction. Do not bury or burn containers and other waste in the open.

STORAGE:

Keep the product in its original closed container, in a safe, cool, dry place and protected from sunlight, located out of the reach of inexperienced people and animals. Do not transport or store with food, fertilizers, other pesticides and seeds. Avoid storing at temperatures above 35 ° C.

SPILLS:

Cover spills with absorbent material (earth or sand). Sweep up the absorbed product and collect in bags or well-identified containers, for subsequent destruction by authorized companies. Wash contaminated surfaces with carbonated or soapy water and then pack the wash water. Avoid contamination of still or moving waters. In case of spillage in water sources, immediately stop human and animal consumption and contact the Company.

FIRST AIDS: 

In case of poisoning: call a doctor and move the patient to a ventilated place. • In case of ingestion: give medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting. Rinse the mouth with plenty of clean water. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. • In case of skin contact: immediately remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Rinse the exposed area with plenty of water, for at least 15 - 20 minutes. Wash clothing that has come into contact with the product. Give medical attention if the skin is irritated. • In case of contact with the eyes: wash the eyes separating the eyelids with the fingers with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Do not try to neutralize the contamination with chemicals. Give immediate medical attention. • In case of inhalation: move the patient to fresh air. Give immediate medical attention if there is abnormal respiratory activity.

WARNINGS FOR HEALTH PERSONNEL:

Slightly dangerous (Class III). Moderate eye irritant (Category III). Mild dermal irritant (Category IV). Not sensitizing. Apply symptomatic treatment.

SYMPTOMS OF ACUTE POISONING:

In case of ingestion, it can cause gastrointestinal upset, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Causes eye irritation.
