GENERALITIES:

MANCHESTER POLVO is an ant insecticide based on fenitrothion that kills ants that come into contact with the product, also acting by ingestion.

 

WAY OF USE:

Sprinkle MANCHESTER POLVO in entrances and surroundings of the anthill without causing obstruction of the ducts or of the paths frequented by the ants. It can also be inflated into the mouths using a dusting pump.

SPECIES IT CONTROLS:

Leafcutter or Common Black Ant (Acromyrmex lundii), Argentine Ant (Iridomyrmex humilis), Chaco leafcutter Ant (Atta vollenweideri) and Mining Ant (Atta sexdens).

GENERAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES:

Avoid inhalation, skin contact and food contamination. Use gloves, face shield and protective clothing that covers the body and extremities during application.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS:

Moderately toxic to birds and highly toxic to fish. Do not pollute water sources.

 

STORAGE:

Store protected from the elements, away from home, in a dry place and in small pallets separated from the ground, in its original closed container.

 

FIRST AIDS: 

For contact with skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of clean water. In case of accidental ingestion, supply a tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water, causing vomiting and repeat the treatment until it is clean. SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.

 

WARNINGS FOR HEALTH PERSONNEL:

SLIGHTLY TOXIC (CLASS D). Apply phosphorous treatment. Cholinesterase inhibitor. Antidote: atropine 1-2 mg every hour until complete dilation of the pupil. DO NOT GIVE MORPHINE. 

 

SYMPTOMS OF POISONING:

Nausea, vomiting, and constricted pupils.

TOXICOLOGICAL COMPATIBILITY:

MANCHESTER POLVO is not compatible with alkaline reaction products.
